Road Trip Games to Play with the family

I Spy: This classic game is great for all ages. One person says "I spy with my little eye something..." and describes an object they can see. The others try to guess what it is.

20 Questions: One person thinks of a person, place or thing, and the others have to guess what it is by asking yes or no questions. They have 20 questions to figure it out.

Alphabet Game: Start with the letter A and look for something that starts with that letter outside the car, such as a sign or a building. When someone spots something, they move on to the next letter.

License Plate Game: See how many different state license plates you can spot. Keep track of them in a notebook or on a piece of paper.

Mad Libs: These fill-in-the-blank stories are always entertaining. Print out some Mad Libs worksheets or bring a book with you.

Name That Tune: Play a few seconds of a song and see who can guess the artist or title first.

Would You Rather: Ask silly or thought-provoking questions like "Would you rather have a pet unicorn or a pet dragon?" and have everyone take turns answering.

Bingo: Print out some travel-themed bingo cards, and the first person to get five in a row wins.

The Story Game: One person starts a story, and everyone takes turns adding to it. It can be as silly or serious as you like.

Guess the Animal: One person thinks of an animal, and the others have to guess what it is by asking yes or no questions about its appearance or habitat.

These games should help make the long road trip more enjoyable for everyone.
